Happy Sunday blessings all :)
I'm going to make a good faith attempt to write regular blogs. I've always loved reading blogs, and seeing all of the beautiful photos intertwined throughout but I myself have a hard time making myself sit down and write every day.
My social media accounts have been a little scattered over this past week with me setting up my graphic design business, website, and sample works for my portfolio. So today I thought, "Why not post in your Photoshop group on Facebook and see if anyone needs any logos that you can work up to use in your portfolio?" I did it!
What I got was a deleted post and a warning. I have been in this group for years, and never in all of those years have I had a post deleted, much less been given a warning.
As the evening was approaching, I checked my message requests and lo and behold, there was a message from a member who had somehow caught my post before it was wiped from the page and they needed some logo help!
This is how I learned about the Red Hot Chili Darters (lol). I'll call her Pam for the sake of privacy but Pam ... had been asked by her dart team to design a logo for for her local dart team for t-shirts and tumblers. I'm not sure the details behind why she took on the project given the fact she stated she was not a graphic designer. Nonetheless she found herself in a predicament and needed to come up with a logo, fast.
I'm still in chat letting her tell the story, all the while cackling because 1). How did she get suckered into doing this with no idea how to do it? And 2.) The Red Hot Chili Darters! What a unique name for a dart team. I could not stop laughing! Anyhow, I asked her if there were any photos/ideas she'd like to share of what her and her team were looking for? There were two, although she did say that those didn't have to be used, just something similar.
I present to you, The Red Hot Chili Darters soon to be mascot!

And this is how the logo was born today. After a few tweaks to the fonts, and movement of the flames, I feel like we're all happy with how it turned out. Tell me below what you think, :)

Love,
Teaka <3
